Sejm moves to override presidential veto again as Bogucki demands disclosure of closed-door session

“If you have even a shred of honesty and a sense of responsibility for the state, I call on you to request that the Speaker of the Sejm disclose that closed session of the Sejm (of December 5 – ed.). Show what you said then, what I replied to you, and how the meeting proceeded. What are you afraid of in this matter?” Zbigniew Bogucki appealed to Donald Tusk from the parliamentary rostrum.

On the final day of the Sejm’s sitting, MPs are to vote for a second time on overriding the president’s veto of the same cryptocurrency market bill.

Zbigniew Bogucki, head of the Chancellery of President Karol Nawrocki, addressed Prime Minister Donald Tusk directly, who was present in the chamber.

“On December 5 (2025), you decided to stage a political spectacle here before the High House. If you have even a shred of honesty and responsibility for the state, I call on you to request that the Speaker of the Sejm disclose that closed session. Show what you said then, what I replied to you, and how it proceeded. What are you afraid of in this matter?”

Bogucki urged.

“You committed a crime”

He recalled that during the public part of a government meeting, Tusk himself spoke about matters covered by confidentiality clauses, which the prime minister is aware of.

Bogucki explained that this concerns documents from one of the services, to which he also has access as head of the presidential chancellery.

“Did the head of that agency lift the ‘secret’ classification in this regard or not, and if so, to what extent? To my knowledge (…), such declassification has not taken place. If the classification was not lifted in the scope in which you disclosed information from that note, then you committed a crime,”

Bogucki addressed Tusk directly.

“To the best of my knowledge, that classification has not been lifted. Therefore, you likely committed a crime. I will look into this. If necessary, as a public official, I am obliged to file the appropriate notification,”

he added.
