Janusz Życzkowski felt unwell and was taken to the hospital—this was confirmed by Telewizja Republika President, Tomasz Sakiewicz. The day before, the journalist had been assaulted by Rafał Trzaskowski’s security guards.
On Thursday, Rafał Trzaskowski visited Wieluń. After meeting with supporters, he was asked a probing question by editor Janusz Życzkowski of Telewizja Republika. The journalist never received an answer. Instead, the politician’s security detail attacked him.
“I was hit in the torso and shoved. My equipment landed on the ground and was destroyed. I also lost my glasses,” Życzkowski reported.
Today, information emerged that Życzkowski’s health had deteriorated, requiring medical attention.
“Our journalist, Janusz Życzkowski, who was beaten yesterday by Trzaskowski’s security, felt worse and ended up in the hospital,” announced Telewizja Republika President, Tomasz Sakiewicz.
