“What was happening there is absolutely shocking,” wrote Mateusz Morawiecki, referring to the sentence handed down to a Civic Coalition (KO) activist from Kłodzko. The woman, in a case involving pedophilia and zoophilia that had been taking place for years within her immediate surroundings, was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison. Meanwhile, Tobiasz Bocheński stated that “the silence of the media is terrifying” and described it as “the loudest media silence in Poland’s history.”
In this shocking case from Kłodzko, a Civic Coalition activist from Lower Silesia was convicted, who, according to investigators’ findings, had been committing crimes for years within her closest environment.
Mateusz Morawiecki commented on the case:
“It is impossible to remain indifferent to the continuous flow of information regarding the pedophilia scandal in Kłodzko. What was happening there is absolutely shocking,” he wrote on social media, adding: “And the leaders of the Civic Platform consistently pretend that this is not their issue.”
“Words fail. It is now clear why they changed their name from PO to KO. If they had not changed it, the previous abbreviation would have to be expanded as ‘Civic Pathology,’ if not something even stronger,”
the former prime minister stated.
Tobiasz Bocheński also spoke out, addressing the issue’s presence in the public sphere:
“The Polish public would not have learned about the pedophilia and zoophilia scandal without internet freedom. The silence of a vast number of media outlets on this matter is terrifying,”
he wrote.
He concluded:
“This is the loudest media silence in the history of Poland.”
