    Sochan Shines in Spurs’ Preseason Win Over Jazz

    San Antonio Spurs secured their second preseason win by defeating Utah Jazz 126-120, with Polish forward Jeremy Sochan contributing 15 points and eight rebounds. The 21-year-old, starting for the Spurs, played 25 minutes, hitting 7 of 12 shots from the field and securing a game-high eight rebounds. Sochan also added an assist, three steals, and a block.

    Key Performances

    Keldon Johnson led the Spurs off the bench with 20 points, while Sochan and starters Julian Champagne, along with reserve Sandro Mamukelashvili, also added 15 points each. Meanwhile, veteran guard Chris Paul recorded three points and eight assists in his second game for the team. Notably absent from the Spurs’ lineup was 20-year-old star Victor Wembanyama, who was rested for this match.

    The Jazz were led by Collin Sexton with 24 points and Cody Williams with 17. The game at San Antonio’s Frost Bank Center attracted 17,635 fans. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich’s squad previously split their preseason games, losing to Oklahoma City Thunder and defeating Orlando Magic.

    San Antonio Spurs will play two more preseason games against the Miami Heat and Houston Rockets before starting the 2024/25 NBA season on October 25 against the Dallas Mavericks.
