In a ceremony along the French Riviera in Nice, the AICR International gala witnessed Sopot, Poland, bask in glory as Jędrzej Król from Sofitel Grand Sopot was crowned the world’s best receptionist in the 2024 World’s Best Receptionist competition.
This year’s edition, with a rich history spanning almost three decades, embraced a new format. Receptionists from 17 countries worldwide, representing Asia, Australia, Africa, and Europe, navigated a day of diverse challenges, including role-playing scenes, group Assessment Centre tasks, and written assignments.
Noteworthy innovations included opening the competition to the audience, allowing them to witness the competitors’ live struggles across different stages simultaneously.
The expert panel of nearly 30 judges from around the globe underscored the international character and high standards of the competition.
The winners’ podium featured:
- Best Receptionist of the Year 2024 – Jędrzej Król (Poland) – Sofitel Grand Sopot
- Second Place – Titouan Rolland (France) – Chateau Du Berne
- Third Place – Maica Horigue (New Zealand) – The Hotel Britomart
