“Still No TV Channels Like Ours.” Will American Business Tap Into Europe’s Conservative Market?

“We look at conservative stations in the United States and see that more and more people are choosing to watch them. The same is true for TV Republika. But if we take a broader look at the television market in the European Union, there is still a shortage of stations like ours,” said Michał Rachoń, programming director of TV Republika, during the network’s summit in Washington.

At the Kennedy Centre in Washington, the Polish-American Strategic Industries Summit (September 2–3) was launched, organised by TV Republika. The event is sponsored by the Zondacrypto stock exchange.

“This is yet another event we are organising in Washington. As you well know, the history of TV Republika is the history of people who love freedom, who believe in the strategic Polish-American alliance,” Rachoń told attendees.

He explained the reasoning behind the decision to organise the summit:

“We are holding this conference with business as its main theme because we believe the current situation in the media market is compelling. In Europe, about 50 percent of voters lean toward supporting conservative parties. They are also seeking conservative, not liberal, sources of information. The problem is that in Europe, there are very few such stations.”

“We look at conservative stations in the United States and see that more and more people are choosing to watch them. The same is true for TV Republika. But if we take a broader look at the television market in the European Union, there is still a shortage of stations like ours,” he told guests from the United States.

He continued: “The European Union is half a billion people. If we assume that 50 percent of this population leans toward conservative views, that is a vast number of people ready to purchase products connected with conservatism. This is a market niche that still lacks a media offering in Europe. It is a tremendous opportunity for the businesses you represent.”

“The policies of Donald Trump align very well with what is happening in Poland. There is an ongoing search for alternative energy sources, which is essential to our security. That will be one of today’s discussion topics. If we combine this with issues of media freedom, cryptocurrencies, and artificial intelligence, we are talking about the development of markets and services. We are talking about a situation where demand is enormous and supply is insufficient. Our task is to fill this niche. That is our path to even greater success,” Rachoń emphasised.
