“There is a great deal that unites us conservatives,” said Mateusz Morawiecki, a Law and Justice (PiS) MP, in an interview with Michał Rachoń on TV Republika. The conversation took place during the CPAC summit in Texas. The politician emphasized that conservatives around the world share common approaches to issues such as migration, the Green Deal, and respect for Christian values.

The event brings together many leading politicians and commentators associated with the American conservative movement and has long been regarded as one of the most important gatherings of conservatives. Conservatives from across the globe are in attendance.

During the interview, the topic of cooperation among conservatives from different parts of the world was discussed. Morawiecki pointed to a “world of shared values” and stressed that “a great deal” unites them, including the issue of migration.
“President Trump is taking action against illegal migration. We have also taken up this fight. In Western Europe, I see a trend among conservative parties that are very firmly combating illegal migration,”
he said.
He added that “another issue concerns matters related to the Green Deal, the European Coal and Steel Community, established to rebuild Europe’s industrial strength, today cannot produce steel and continues down a path of excesses that my government strongly opposed.” He noted that “fortunately, public sentiment is now slowly beginning to change.”
“Another issue is Christian values. During the CPAC conference, I spoke with people who describe themselves as atheists. It is not about everyone having to believe the same thing. Everyone should respect the Christian foundation that underpins our civilization, a foundation that has been undermined by liberal elites,”
he concluded.
