Success! Dragon Capsule with Polish Astronaut Onboard Docks with the International Space Station

The Dragon capsule carrying four astronauts, including Polish astronaut Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski, has successfully docked with the International Space Station. Docking was completed at approximately 12:32 PM Polish time.

The hatch opening is scheduled for 2:10 PM Polish time, followed by a welcome ceremony at 2:40 PM. The docking marks the culmination of a journey lasting over a day, which began on Wednesday morning.

Axiom-4 is a private spaceflight mission to the International Space Station operated by Axiom Space in collaboration with SpaceX and NASA. The Crew Dragon Grace spacecraft was launched into low Earth orbit aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket. This is the maiden flight of the Crew Dragon Grace, the fifth and newest spacecraft in the Crew Dragon fleet.

The mission commander is American astronaut Peggy Whitson, undertaking her fifth spaceflight. The pilot is Shubhanshu Shukla from India, with mission specialists Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski from Poland and Tibor Kapu from Hungary.
