Surveillance of the opposition. MP Matecki reveals a shocking case. “This is something unbelievable!”

Polish services sought consent from the American side to access the Apple accounts of MP Dariusz Matecki (PiS). The MP himself reported this on TV Republika. As he added – he had never disclosed this information before, but is now providing it as an example of how the authorities try to reach every piece of information from the lives of opposition politicians.

Appearing on TV Republika, MP Dariusz Matecki (PiS) shared a surprising story with viewers. As he stated, the surveillance of opposition politicians by those in power has already entered another level.

“I hadn’t said this before, but I received a message from Apple that Polish services had requested access from the FBI to my Apple accounts. This is something unbelievable!” he announced.

Matecki explained that after 30 days, in the US there is a legal obligation to inform the person about whom such a request has been made. That is how he learned about the entire operation.

“We see that they are trying to reach every piece of information that concerns the lives of opposition MPs. This is total surveillance. Fortunately, in the US it doesn’t work so easily that such access is granted, especially to countries that violate human rights,” added the opposition politician.

“What exactly did the Polish side demand?” asked Michał Jelonek.

“Full access to my accounts on my iPhone and Mac. That includes my passwords, correspondence, my private and family photos. After all, people mainly store family photos in the cloud. We are seeing total surveillance. They are trying to find anything they can use to strike,” Matecki concluded.
