Suski: The Green Deal is the Degradation of Poland

Politicians from Law and Justice (PiS) sharply criticized the Green Deal and the government’s proposed solutions in this area. Marek Suski warned against the return of the wind turbine bill, while MEP Anna Zalewska spoke of ideological madness.

Suski: These Elections Will Decide Poland’s Future

On Monday at 11:00 AM, a press conference was held at the Sejm (Polish Parliament) with PiS MP Marek Suski and MEP Anna Zalewska. The Law and Justice politicians strongly condemned the Green Deal and the draft wind turbine bill, which they claim threatens Poland’s sovereignty and harms Polish farmers and residents.

MP Marek Suski warned that the upcoming elections would have historic significance for Poland’s future direction.

— “The approaching elections will decide for years to come the future of Poland and the path it will take. Will we choose the path of a sovereign, developing state that defends ordinary citizens, or the path of those who want to impose changes harmful to Poland?” — said Suski.

He particularly emphasized the return of the wind turbine bill.

— “At the beginning of this Sejm’s term, the first bill was the wind turbine bill. It turned out during committee work that it was written by lobbying firms. Today, this bill is back—allowing turbines 500 meters from residential buildings and widespread construction near public roads,” he stressed.

Zalewska: The Green Deal is a Turbocharged Green Ideology

MEP Anna Zalewska sharply criticized the so-called Green Deal and the actions of EU institutions, which she said are detached from the reality of ordinary people:

— “During one of the debates, we heard R. Trzaskowski dismissively claim that the Green Deal essentially doesn’t exist. That’s not true. Not only does the Green Deal exist, but it’s now turbocharged,” she said.

— “No regulations have been changed, there’s no reduction in bureaucracy or search for solutions. All these documents were written before the pandemic and before the war, and they’re unrealistic to implement now,” Zalewska argued.

The issue of the Green Deal and the wind turbine bill is clearly one of the main topics of the election campaign. PiS vows to defend Poland’s sovereignty and the interests of its citizens, positioning itself in opposition to the policies pushed by the government and the European Union.
