A teacher in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, has been suspended after attending class wearing a T-shirt adorned with the likenesses of several dictators, including Adolf Hitler. The incident, which occurred at an evening school in Wuerselen, sparked immediate controversy and police involvement.
According to reports from WDR, the teacher’s shirt not only featured Hitler but also other infamous dictatorial figures such as Joseph Stalin, Benito Mussolini, and Mao Zedong. A student in the class called the police upon noticing the offensive apparel. Authorities arrived at the school and confiscated the shirt, requiring the teacher to remove it on the spot.
The school acted swiftly in response to the incident, dismissing the teacher from his duties the very same day the complaint was lodged. Additionally, the teacher has been banned from entering the school premises and from making any contact with students until further notice.
The police are currently investigating the case for the use of symbols from unconstitutional organizations, which is a serious offense in Germany.
