The inauguration is just a few days away. Karol Nawrocki’s spokesperson: This will become a fact

“Just look at the sad times we live in—where we even have to ask whether the head of state, elected in a democratic vote, will be sworn in. This speaks volumes about the very low level of political culture in Poland. Mr. Karol Nawrocki will stand before the National Assembly on August 6 and pronounce the words of the oath,” said Rafał Leśkiewicz, spokesperson for the president-elect, Karol Nawrocki, on Radio Republika.

The swearing-in of the president is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. before the National Assembly in the Parliament building on Wiejska Street in Warsaw. Supporters of Karol Nawrocki will initially gather there. Large screens will also be set up to broadcast the ceremony. At 12:00 p.m., a Holy Mass will take place at the Archcathedral Basilica. At 2:00 p.m., celebrations will be held at the Royal Castle. At 4:30 p.m., the president will assume Supreme Command of the Armed Forces at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Piłsudski Square.

Participants of the ceremony will move between these locations.

Nawrocki’s spokesperson: The Marshal acted responsibly

Rafał Leśkiewicz, spokesperson for the president-elect, appeared today on Radio Republika’s Morning Show. He acknowledged that, given recent events and media reports about potential attempts to obstruct Karol Nawrocki’s inauguration, “we are living in sad times.”

“Just look at the sad times we live in—where we even have to ask whether the head of state, elected in a democratic vote, will be sworn in. This speaks volumes about the very low level of political culture in Poland,” he said.

However, he added: “Mr. Karol Nawrocki will stand before the National Assembly on August 6 and pronounce the words of the oath.”

According to Leśkiewicz: “The Marshal of the Sejm acted responsibly by issuing a recommendation to publish the decree in the Monitor Polski. We are confident that the inauguration will become a reality.”

What will Karol Nawrocki’s presidency look like?

He also spoke about what Karol Nawrocki’s presidency would entail. As he emphasized: “The hallmark of Karol Nawrocki’s presidency will be effectiveness.”

“He will demand action from the government. Right now, the government is bypassing the law and focusing on matters that do not serve Polish men and women. There are numerous political, social, and economic issues that are troubling the public, and the president will submit draft legislation in response to those needs, which is one of his key prerogatives. I don’t want to disclose all of the legislative proposals yet, but one of the first will certainly concern the Central Communication Port (CPK), a concept developed by the United Right government,” he stated.
