The person responsible for the soldiers’ data ending up in the trash is the same one who… revoked Cenckiewicz’s security clearance!

A shocking discovery in Suwałki – soldiers’ data, weapon schematics, and military training outlines were found discarded among garbage. According to the Niezalezna.pl portal, supervision over the protection of such information throughout the Ministry of National Defence (MON) is the responsibility of a Directorate headed by Major Karolina Kisłowska. She is the same person who signed the decisions to initiate control proceedings against Professor Sławomir Cenckiewicz and General Jarosław Gromadziński, which led to the revocation of their security clearances.

Today, the Onet portal reported an alarming case involving the discovery of sensitive military documents on private property in Suwałki. The issue first came to light in October 2024, when the property owner stumbled upon “a pile of documents, including a list of 14 soldiers with their military ranks and reference numbers.” Despite notifying the authorities, the matter was not treated seriously.

Later, the man discovered “another batch of documents on his property that the police had previously failed to find.” This time, the materials were of a much higher level of sensitivity: “weapons construction diagrams, outlines of military exercises, tests filled out by soldiers, and an A4 sheet containing a list of 29 soldiers.” Unlike the first list, this one included not only military ranks but also “names, surnames, and phone numbers.” The discarded materials were most likely dumped by a company renovating military buildings.

The person formally responsible for this embarrassing data breach is Major Karolina Kisłowska. According to the statute of the Military Counterintelligence Service (SKW), supervision over the protection of classified information in all organizational units of the MON falls under the Director of the Fifth Directorate of the SKW. This is precisely the position held by Major Kisłowska.

Her name is already well known from other scandalous cases. It was Karolina Kisłowska who signed the decisions to launch control proceedings against historian Professor Sławomir Cenckiewicz, currently head of the National Security Bureau (BBN), and against the distinguished commander, creator of the “Iron Division,” General Jarosław Gromadziński. These actions, which can hardly be viewed as anything other than politically motivated revenge, led to the revocation of both men’s security clearances.

In July 2025, Professor Cenckiewicz reported court rulings from the Voivodeship Administrative Court that overturned “the unlawful decisions of the Prime Minister and the SKW (formally signed on his behalf by then-Major, now Lieutenant Colonel, Karolina Kisłowska) to revoke my security clearance.”

The court found that the law had been violated in the case.

We are therefore witnessing a situation that starkly exposes the pathological standards prevailing within the services under Donald Tusk’s government. On the one hand, individuals inconvenient for the current authorities – such as Professor Cenckiewicz, whose “crime” included revealing the truth about the SKW’s cooperation with Russia’s FSB – are being relentlessly persecuted and destroyed. On the other hand, the very person who served as a tool in these politically motivated operations is responsible within the SKW for a system of information protection that appears full of holes. Under her supervision, the data of Polish soldiers, including those serving on the eastern flank, end up in the trash, becoming potentially easy prey for foreign intelligence services. In December 2024, Niezalezna.pl wrote the following about Karolina Kisłowska:

She has been working in the SKW since 2007, and her career accelerated after changes in the institution’s leadership. Kisłowska’s ties to former SKW structures raise serious concerns. Her actions display motives that may suggest personal vendettas and loyalty to her previous superiors, including Colonel Krzysztof Dusza, who was involved in cooperation with Russia’s FSB between 2010 and 2014. According to our findings, Kisłowska was promoted this year to lieutenant colonel. Was it a reward for her participation in the operation against Szatkowski, Cenckiewicz, and General Gromadziński? Karolina Kisłowska’s husband, Karol Kisłowski, is a former SKW lawyer who once analyzed the agency’s cooperation with Russian intelligence services. After a series of controversies related to collecting undue financial benefits, he was dismissed from the SKW and charged with fraud. The court conditionally discontinued the proceedings after Kisłowski admitted his guilt.
