The Prosecutor’s Office Summons Bogucki for Questioning over ‘Anti-Judges’ of the Constitutional Tribunal: “They Continue Their Flight into Space”

Minister Waldemar Żurek and his team are continuing their flight into space and are now orbiting beyond the bounds of logic, said Zbigniew Bogucki, Head of the Chancellery of the President. The politician was commenting on a summons to appear before the prosecutor’s office to give testimony in an investigation concerning the alleged pseudo-oath of so-called anti-judges of the Constitutional Tribunal.

Żurek’s Prosecutorial Investigation into the Alleged Pseudo-Oath of ‘Anti-Judges’

The Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General, Waldemar Żurek, recently announced that two Constitutional Tribunal judges, Magdalena Bentkowska and Dariusz Szostek, had filed a notification with the Prosecutor General regarding a suspected crime to the detriment of judges of the Constitutional Tribunal elected by the Sejm on March 13, 2026: Krystian Markiewicz, Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, Marcin Dziurda, and Maciej Taborowski.

Żurek later stated that a report had been submitted to the National Prosecutor’s Office concerning a suspected offense related to the situation in the Constitutional Tribunal. According to him, it concerns four “properly elected judges” who—he claims—were not provided with working conditions.

Prosecutor Anna Adamiak said that the investigation concerns two issues. First, it relates to the alleged facilitation of the president’s “failure to fulfill duties consisting in not accepting the oath from four Constitutional Tribunal judges (…) by creating the belief that not accepting their oath was justified and lawful.” She added that the proceedings also concern failure to fulfill duties by those performing functions in the Tribunal, as well as, among other things, “malicious and persistent violation of labor rights” by not ensuring the four judges “working conditions and remuneration commensurate with the dignity of the office.”

Bogucki Responds to the Summons

Zbigniew Bogucki, Head of the Chancellery of the President, announced on platform X that he had received a summons “as a witness in a case concerning aiding and abetting the failure to fulfill the duty of accepting the oath by the President.”

“Minister Waldemar Żurek and his team are continuing their flight into space and are now orbiting beyond the bounds of logic. I have just received a summons as a witness in a case concerning, as I understand it, aiding and abetting the failure to fulfill the duty of accepting the oath by the President,” he stated.

He added that, in his view, “Żurek and company are disgracing themselves immensely, especially since on the one hand they claim that an effective oath was taken ‘before the President’ during the farce in the Sejm (even though the President was not there), while on the other hand in criminal proceedings they claim that the President did not accept the oath.” Bogucki also addressed Żurek directly.

“Mr. Żurek, I do not know whether you can still return to the ground of elementary logic and honesty, but I wish that the political split personality which has thrown you so far into an orbit of absurd frenzy comes to an end—for your own good. And if you ever manage to return, then please explain why the investigation into the Zondacrypto case was initiated only on April 17 of this year after months of inaction?” the statement reads.

The politician was also asked about the investigation initiated by Żurek’s prosecutors on Polsat News. He said that Żurek, “some of his prosecutors, and this government must decide whether this stunt, this farce that took place in the Sejm—which was not an oath before the president, meaning in the presence of the president, because the president simply was not there, but in the presence of the Speaker—was an oath or not.”

“Because if they claim it was an oath, then this criminal proceeding makes no sense, since here they claim the president did not accept the oath. There they claim the president did accept the oath. So perhaps they should end this political split personality and land back on Earth,” he explained.

He also emphasized that “a prosecutor should be dealing with prosecuting real criminals, VAT mafias, organized crime, and so on—instead, they are dealing with a political circus.”
