The Supreme Court Dismissed 40,000 Electoral Protests. They Had Formal Deficiencies

According to RMF Radio, the Supreme Court resolved the fate of approximately 40,000 electoral protests submitted after the recent presidential election with a single ruling. All of these protests, based on a template prepared by attorney Roman Giertych, were dismissed due to formal deficiencies.

Repeated Protest

As reported by RMF, the voters’ protest was considered collectively and deemed inadmissible due to formal shortcomings.

Roman Giertych, the author of the protest, had requested, among other things, a nationwide recount of all votes cast in the presidential election. The protest text, replicated by voters, referred in part to Giertych’s own protest, which had already been dismissed earlier.

This means that the risk of failing to process all submissions by the upcoming Tuesday has been definitively averted. These so-called “Giertychówki” constitute the largest group of electoral protests consolidated by the court for joint consideration.
