After the Japanese Garden, the renovation of the Dancing Rings, the great investment that was the total reconstruction of the Silesian Planetarium and the recently started works on the Regatta Canal, it’s time for a cult place – “The Wave” swimming pool, which will remain at its historical location.”,

emphasizes the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship, Jakub Chełstowski.

The signing of the agreement was attended by: Marshal Jakub Chełstowski, the MP Wojciech Saługa, Deputy Marshal Łukasz Czopik; Board Member Krzysztof Klimosz, Councilors of the Sejmik: Dorota Konieczny-Simela and Marek Kopel and President of the Silesian Park Paweł Bilangowski.

The new centre will be filled with attractions: a swimming pool with a characteristic wave, a wild river, a water geyser, a water terrace and a basin with water jets. The water surface of the modernized swimming pool is to amount to as much as 3,500 square meters in total. There will also be a beach with sun loungers and a food court. For sports swimming, there will be three 25 meters long swimming lanes and the iconic jumping tower with two levels – 3 and 5 meters.

“The renovation will be possible thanks to the Jessica program, the funds from which were obtained thanks to the previous management of the voivodship, led by the marshal of the voivodship, Wojciech Saługa, and the current support of the Sejmik. In total, it will be over PLN 135 million. The ‘Vawe’ is a unique recreational space in the heart of Silesia, a modern and family-friendly facility.
