These are the people who are supposed to “protect” the elections! NASK shares a photo featuring Gawkowski and Kocjan, who is behind hate-filled campaign videos

Just a week ago, Jakub Kocjan—head of Akcja Demokracja, the organization responsible for some of the hateful, dehumanizing, and likely illegal election campaign materials targeting the opposition—was a guest at NASK, the very institution that yesterday warned of possible election interference. These materials, which were ostensibly meant to boost voter turnout, actually supported Rafał Trzaskowski’s campaign.

Attacking Trzaskowski’s opponents under the guise of voter mobilization
Yesterday, NASK’s Disinformation Analysis Center issued a statement about a “possible attempt to interfere with the election campaign,” claiming to have identified political ads on Facebook that “may be financed from abroad.”

These ads targeted presidential candidates Karol Nawrocki and Sławomir Mentzen, with Rafał Trzaskowski being the direct beneficiary. Yet in its statement, NASK also portrayed the Civic Coalition candidate as a victim.

In response, internet users recalled a photo shared by NASK showing Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski participating in the May 9th “Election Umbrella” event. Among the special guests at the event was none other than Jakub Kocjan.

An awkward situation.
“Did you know that just a week ago, Jakub Kocjan—president of Akcja Demokracja, which is behind at least one, and likely two out of three of the hateful, dehumanizing, and probably illegal campaign videos that have cost hundreds of thousands of PLN in recent weeks to benefit the Civic Platform and Rafał Trzaskowski—was at NASK? The same NASK that today is warning of ‘possible election interference’?” wrote Szymon Janus.

This is outrageous.
“In that NASK photo from five days ago—there’s Jakub Kocjan. Look him up. Do you get it? Jakub Kocjan, at NASK, at the ‘Election Umbrella’ event!!!” emphasized Zygfryd Czaban.

Jakub Kocjan, First Deputy Director of Akcja Demokracja, is also involved in the Ministry of Digital Affairs’ “Election Umbrella” project, which, in cooperation with NASK, is supposedly intended to “protect the elections.” These are the same people producing hate-driven campaign videos, now claiming to be “ensuring fair elections.” Do you see what’s going on here? — wrote Adam Czarnecki.
