“They Are Trying to Steal the Election from the Polish People” – PiS MP Warns Tusk’s Allies of Criminal Liability

“This is a scenario that illustrates how those in power are attempting to steal the election from the Polish people. Such actions are clearly defined in the Penal Code, and there is no doubt about that. Assuming that ‘the monastery will outlast the abbot,’ they must be aware that a time will come when they will be held accountable for breaking the law,” said PiS MP Mariusz Błaszczak on the “Michał #Rachoń” program aired on TV Republika, commenting on the actions of the December 13 coalition politicians who have challenged the presidential election results.

Allegations of “Election Fraud”

According to the official results announced by the National Electoral Commission (PKW), in the second round of the presidential election, Karol Nawrocki received 10,606,877 votes, while Rafał Trzaskowski secured 10,237,286. The next step is for Nawrocki to take the oath before the National Assembly, scheduled for August 6.

Meanwhile, Roman Giertych and the “Silni Razem” (Strong Together) movement have raised allegations of suspected electoral fraud and are seeking to prevent Karol Nawrocki from assuming the presidency. Donald Tusk has also joined this narrative, despite previously stating that this was not the proper course of action.

Błaszczak’s Response on TV Republika

PiS MP Mariusz Błaszczak also addressed the actions of Civic Platform politicians during his appearance on “Michał #Rachoń.”

“This scenario shows precisely how those currently in power are trying to steal the election from the Polish people. These kinds of actions are defined in the Penal Code—there’s no ambiguity about that. Assuming that the institution outlasts the individual, they must realize that the day will come when they will be held accountable for violating the law—when this so-called ‘militant democracy’ and all their unlawful actions are finally brought to justice. They are clinging to power with great determination. There is hope that the August 6 demonstration in Warsaw will be the strongest response yet to these attempts to undermine the election results and destabilize the Polish state by Tusk’s team,” Błaszczak stated.

He also commented on a recent post by Donald Tusk, who wrote:
“Gentlemen Andrzej Duda, Karol Nawrocki, and Jarosław Kaczyński – aren’t you at least a little curious what the real election results are? Of course you are. And as we know, those who are honest have nothing to fear.”

Błaszczak replied:
“This is mocking the people—mocking the nation. It’s a display of contempt. Take note of the fact that they believe power is something they are inherently entitled to. They don’t think election results should determine who governs Poland—they believe it’s their right. This is not the first time Donald Tusk has acted this way. He doesn’t know how to govern. He has nothing to offer the public except a war on the opposition. But this will be ineffective, because Karol Nawrocki’s victory has created a new political dynamic. They still have a majority in the Sejm, but it’s a fragile one. MPs from the coalition parties are beginning to realize that this path leads to a dead end—unless they are prepared to end their political careers or join the Civic Platform’s candidate lists.”

Błaszczak also noted that “in 130 polling stations out of more than 32,000, Rafał Trzaskowski received fewer votes in the second round than in the first—half of those showed a drop of only one or two votes.”

“The margin between Karol Nawrocki and Rafał Trzaskowski was over 369,000 votes. From a purely mathematical standpoint, the claims being made are entirely absurd. Most importantly, there are no legal grounds for a vote recount,” he concluded.“This is a scenario that illustrates how those in power are attempting to steal the election from the Polish people.
