“I advise President Nawrocki not to yield. He should act with even greater determination against his opponents. He should show that their tactics don’t work,” said Matt Schlapp, CPAC organizer and chairman of the American Conservative Union, in an interview with TV Republika.

Michał Rachoń spoke with Matt Schlapp about, among other things, the activities of the left, which talks about “freedom of speech” but often threatens its critics with lawsuits.
“They are afraid of us. The left believes they own all the media. They hate it when anyone with a conservative, national message speaks up. The second thing they always do is fight using legal prosecution. They preach freedom of speech, but call criticism of their actions hate speech. They do this all over the world. We are starting to fight them much more effectively,” he said.
Schlapp also referred to the persecution of the Polish opposition. He reminded that “the President of South Korea was in office when he was imprisoned.”
“They want to outlaw, use unconstitutional court operations, secret police, to imprison people, delegitimize politicians. When someone uses their power, it’s hard to oppose them. They talk about hate speech, and then want to prosecute their opponents. We are at a point where we either win this fight or we lose it. If we lose, we lose our freedom,” he pointed out.
In his opinion, “the media are in the pocket of the left, left-wing politicians are far more sensitive to any media criticism than we are.”
“They are used to being idolized by the media. When that’s not the case, they freak out. When the Prime Minister of Poland is criticized, he can’t handle it. Donald Trump has very thick skin, and so does the President of Poland,” he assessed.
“I advise President Nawrocki not to yield”
Schlapp also commented on announcements from Polish authorities about the possibility of bringing President Karol Nawrocki before the State Tribunal.
“President Nawrocki is popular and keeps his word. They don’t like him because this most likely means he will be reelected. I advise President Nawrocki not to yield. He should act with even greater determination against his opponents. He should show that their tactics don’t work. They almost put Donald Trump in prison, but he did not yield and thanks to that saved his country,” Schlapp stated.
“Trump respects Zelensky”
The CPAC organizer also spoke about the situation in Ukraine.
“The left wants this war to continue. They think that if we keep funding this war, it will lead to something good. Donald Trump respects Volodymyr Zelensky and wants to end this war. He sees no benefit in a long-term war. The real fight is not just between Ukraine and Russia. The real fight is whether all of Europe will be dependent on Russian energy. Poland has already taken steps in this regard, but many countries are still dependent on Russian resources,” he said.
