They’ve Dropped the Masks: Leftists Plan to Use Immigrants to Grab Permanent Power

Such a plan has not been seen since Stalin’s ethnic purges, when entire nations were relocated from their homelands to distant regions of the Soviet Union with a single signature. Irene Montero, a Member of the European Parliament from the Spanish leftist Podemos, revealed what actually lies behind the noble slogans about helping illegal immigrants.

“After legalizing the stay of immigrants, we want to grant them citizenship so they can vote in elections,” Montero publicly announced during a rally held on January 31 in Zaragoza, organized in connection with the regional elections in Aragon, which will take place on February 8.

The MEP argued that after legalizing the residence of thousands of immigrants, the next step should be granting them Spanish citizenship and changing the law so that they can participate in elections. However, this is only the first step in the leftist agenda. The next is to carry out ethnic purges of Spain’s existing population.

“I hope we manage to get rid of fascists and racists from this country using migrants and hard-working people,” Montero stated directly, as quoted by the influential newspaper El Mundo. On the MEP’s sort of blacklist were right-wing parties, including Vox (Vox) and its leader Santiago Abascal. Montero labeled them all as “racists.”

As the portal Do Rzeczy reminds, in Spain, citizenship is a requirement for voting in national and regional elections, so merely legalizing immigrants’ residence does not automatically grant them voting rights. “In the election campaign, Podemos signals that it will strongly fight for migrants’ rights, which may be significant in regions with a higher share of foreigners or people with immigrant roots. The largest immigrant populations in Spain live in Catalonia (Barcelona), in the Madrid region, in Andalusia, and on the Balearic Islands, where they make up around 20-25 percent of the population,” the portal reports.

TV Republika covered the statements and highlighted the controversy surrounding Montero’s remarks.
