They’ve Stopped Hiding. German MEP Hits Out at the US. “I’ve Had Enough!

“We must be able to defend ourselves independently. I’ve had enough of constantly relying on Washington for our security,” says Manfred Weber, a political ally of Donald Tusk. Curtain.

Harmful Resolution

The European Parliament on Wednesday passed (419 in favor, 204 against) a resolution on strengthening the EU’s defense capabilities. MEPs from the December 13 coalition point to the particular importance of Amendment 87, which recognizes the Eastern Shield as a “flagship project of Prime Minister Donald Tusk, aimed at enhancing the common security of the Union.”

However, politicians from Donald Tusk’s circle decided to use this opportunity to launch a brutal attack on the Polish opposition. As a reminder, MEPs from Law and Justice (PiS) and the Confederation voted “against.”

Pushing Out the US

There is no doubt that this is one of the steps in the broader process of “pushing out” the United States from Europe in favor of having EU bureaucrats decide everything that happens in member states. From a security perspective, however, this is particularly dangerous, as the US is a strategic partner in NATO and the primary guarantor of security in Europe.

EU politicians prioritize the interests of Berlin and Paris over the security of Europeans.

Weber Admits It

Manfred Weber, chairman of the European People’s Party (which includes MEPs from the December 13 coalition), gave an interview to the German newspaper “Welt am Sonntag,” owned by the Axel Springer SE conglomerate. Weber was particularly vocal when attacking the PiS government. The German politician did not hide his joy when Donald Tusk’s coalition won in October 2023.

In the interview, he spoke critically of the United States, once again revealing Brussels’ true intentions.

“Europe is militarily alone in a stormy world. Unfortunately, we are also quite naked,” he stated, clearly forgetting that Europe’s current unpreparedness is the result of harmful ties with Russia.

But then, he showed the true face of Brussels’ elites.

“We must be able to defend ourselves independently. I’ve had enough of constantly relying on Washington for our security. We need to become more efficient; Europe does not need 17 different types of tanks, while the Americans have only one. There must be an obligation for joint arms procurement. New weapons should primarily be purchased from European companies.”

What does this mean? It’s simple. German and French arms companies are to profit from arms purchases by EU member states. Buying American weapons and ammunition may soon become “unacceptable.”
