In the past 24 hours, nearly 180 attempts to illegally cross into Poland from the border with Belarus were recorded. “Limbs of trees were thrown at patrols,” the Border Guard stated in an official communiqué. The service released a short video illustrating one of the many nighttime attempts to breach the border. The migratory pressure remains unrelenting.
“On March 26, nearly 180 attempts to illegally enter Poland from Belarus were recorded, almost all of which were thwarted. Actions are being taken to apprehend 13 individuals,” the Border Guard reported on Thursday. “Branches were thrown at patrols,” the statement added.
Hybrid pressure on the eastern border continues unabated. A few days ago, the Border Guard released a recording showing a group of migrants damaging the border barrier using an angle grinder. They quickly managed to cross onto the Polish side, but law enforcement responded immediately on the scene.
