The debate in Konskie is organized by Telewizja Republika. In the interest of the public, we’ve decided to invite other television stations. We expect that none of the candidates will snub millions of viewers, writes Tomasz Sakiewicz on X.
The pivotal debate, hosted by Telewizja Republika in Konskie, is fast approaching. The final showdown between the presidential candidates is set for May 28 in the town square—unless Rafał Trzaskowski chooses to dodge it. However, Karol Nawrocki, the civic candidate backed by PiS, has confirmed his participation.
This May 28 debate is the most significant of the entire series, as it’s the last before the second round of voting. Prior to the first round on April 11, two debates were held in Konskie: the first in the town square, aired by TV Republika, wPolsce24, and TV Trwam, and the second in a sports hall, broadcast by the now-defunct TVP, Polsat, and TVN. Debates also took place in the studios of Republika, TVP (now liquidated), and Super Express.
As Tomasz Sakiewicz states on X, “for the benefit of the public, we’ve invited other television stations.”
We expect no candidate to ignore the millions watching, he asserts.
