    Trade War Escalates: Ukraine to Sue Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia at WTO

    Kiev will sue Poland, Hungary and Slovakia at the World Trade Organization over their refusal to lift a ban on imports of Ukrainian agricultural products. Restrictions on imports of Polish fruit and vegetables are also planned. The government imposed the ban after Brussels failed to extend the EU embargo beyond September 15. Prime Minister Morawiecki said Poland may change its mind when a “model of cooperation with our eastern, Ukrainian neighbor” is worked out.
