Community Support for Firefighters
A tragic fire and explosion occurred in an apartment building on Kraszewskiego Street in Poznań, resulting in the death of two firefighters and injuries to 11 others, including three civilians. In the wake of the incident, over 700,000 PLN has been raised to support the affected firefighters and their families. Donations are being collected through the Siepomaga Foundation in partnership with the NSZZ “Solidarność.”

Brigadier Lucyna Rudzińska from the Poznań State Fire Service expressed gratitude for the community’s support. She emphasized the importance of installing smoke detectors in homes, stating that a detector saved lives during the Kraszewskiego Street fire by alerting residents to evacuate.
