Poland is on a mission to modernize its county hospitals, making healthcare facilities across the country more efficient and eco-friendly. Minister of Climate and Environment, Anna Moskwa, recently attended the signing of an agreement to fund the thermomodernization and renewable energy installations in the Independent Public Healthcare Facilities Group in Przysucha, Mazowieckie.
Local Communities Benefit
Minister Moskwa emphasized that these projects align with the government’s commitment to local communities, ensuring that hospitals, offices, and schools in small towns are on par with their counterparts in larger cities. The goal is to create a consistent standard of living and services throughout the country.
The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) has already financed 54 such projects in recent years. However, this is just the beginning. The program is set to continue, with more agreements in the pipeline.

A Greener Future
In the coming weeks and months, Poland is embarking on an extensive program to modernize its county hospitals, with a focus on energy efficiency. The Przysucha hospital, for instance, has received nearly PLN 14 million, one of the largest grants for hospital thermomodernization in Poland. The initiative aims for zero emissions, a 25% reduction in energy consumption, and energy balance optimization.
