Trzaskowski Following Tusk: Took Some Photos and Declared Success. The Comments Section Explodes with Laughter!

Rafał Trzaskowski, following in the footsteps of his party colleagues, also boasted on social media about his photos from the Warszawa Zachodnia station. The Mayor of Warsaw eagerly posed for pictures and praised the investment, which was initiated by the government of the United Right (Zjednoczona Prawica) – as internet users were quick to remind him, just as they did with Donald Tusk.

The politicians of the 13 December Coalition are doing everything they can to convince Poles, especially Warsaw residents, that the modernization of Warszawa Zachodnia station, completed a few days ago, is their achievement. That is why they are announcing success wherever possible.

The facts, however, are that back during the government of Mateusz Morawiecki, on July 7, 2020, PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA signed a contract for the modernization of the Warszawa Zachodnia station. This took place in the presence of the Minister of Infrastructure in the government of the United Right (Zjednoczona Prawica), Andrzej Adamczyk. The investment, worth over PLN 1.9 billion, was supposed to be completed by 2023, but the deadline was repeatedly postponed. Nevertheless – who initiated the reconstruction of the station? Certainly not Donald Tusk.

Yet it was Tusk who, just two days ago, early in the morning, posted an online video from the capital’s station, using the narrative typical of his camp: “we act, we don’t talk”, he said.

Trzaskowski Just Like Tusk

Even though Tusk’s video was flooded with comments reminding the prime minister who initiated the station’s reconstruction and when, Rafał Trzaskowski followed his lead. The mayor of the Polish capital published a post with photos of the completed investment.

Naturally, he added a description suggesting that it was his team that stood behind the reconstruction. But… he also noted that an underground tram stop would soon be built. And indeed, this project was supposed to be carried out jointly by the current government and the capital city. Yet in over two years – it still hasn’t been built. So what exactly is there to boast about?

In the comments section under Trzaskowski’s post, the same thing happened as under his party leader’s.
