TV Republika Breaks Historical Viewership Record! Tomasz Sakiewicz: We Have Achieved the Unimaginable

Such results have never before been recorded by TV Republika. With a 10.83% share of the media market, on Friday, April 11th, the Free Speech House’s station surpassed all other television networks—not only news channels. On that day, TV Republika was the most-watched television station in the entire country.

“This is an extraordinary phenomenon! Not only did we break through the bubble—we achieved something that is unimaginable for the vast majority of television stations in Poland and Europe,”

stated Tomasz Sakiewicz, head of TV Republika, in an interview with Niezalezna.pl.

TV Republika’s Record-Breaking Viewership

On Friday, April 11th, TV Republika emerged as the most-watched television station among all possible broadcasters—not merely within the realm of news media. On this particular day, the station aired the presidential debate held in the town of Końskie.

This constitutes, without a doubt, a historic moment, as TV Republika’s share of the media market reached 10.83 percent.

Furthermore, the network’s YouTube channel recorded two million views on that single day alone.

Sakiewicz: The Biggest Event in Poland—and the World

Niezalezna.pl requested a comment on the station’s impressive performance from Tomasz Sakiewicz, head of the Free Speech House’s network.

“Three extraordinary things happened here,” Sakiewicz said. “First, on that day, TV Republika was the largest television broadcaster in all of Poland—not just among news stations. Second, we achieved the highest result in our history: nearly 11 percent. This is a remarkable feat, especially considering that people are watching television less and less frequently—usually only during football matches or major concerts. And here we are speaking about a political event that, while broadcast under our logo, was also carried by other television networks. Consequently, a great many more people watched TV Republika on that day.”

He added: “Online, the debates reached the widest streaming audience globally—particularly via our platform. There were over one billion reactions!”

“No other event in the world had garnered such a volume of online reactions. Thus, this was the largest event not only in Poland but also internationally. It is an extraordinary phenomenon! Not only did we break the bubble—we achieved something that is unimaginable for the majority of television networks in Poland and Europe,”

emphasized Tomasz Sakiewicz.
