Poland faced a tough challenge in their second Nations League match, losing 0-1 away to Croatia on Sunday evening. Despite a promising performance against Scotland in their previous game, Michał Probierz’s side struggled to match the intensity and skill of the Croatian team.
From the first whistle, Croatia took control of the match, putting relentless pressure on the Polish defense. Duje Caleta-Car and Igor Matanović made several dangerous attempts, but Poland’s goalkeeper, Łukasz Skorupski, kept them at bay. Meanwhile, Poland’s counterattacks, led by Zalewski and Szymański, failed to deliver any significant threats.
Croatia 1-0 Poland
The breakthrough came in the 52nd minute when Luka Modrić curled a beautiful free kick into the net. Despite some late chances for Poland, including Robert Lewandowski hitting the crossbar, Croatia held on for a well-deserved victory.
