In the 2024 Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE WUR), the University of Wrocław Medical School has claimed the top spot among Polish medical universities. This achievement, along with strong showings from the Jagiellonian University and the University of Warsaw, underscores the excellence of Poland’s higher education system. Only 39 Polish institutions made it to the list, with the University of Wrocław Medical School taking the lead.
According to Professor Piotr Ponikowski, the rector of the University of Wrocław Medical School, this recognition reflects their commitment to providing high-quality education. The institution has been actively modernizing its teaching methods to better serve its students, and the results are evident.
The University of Wrocław Medical School also secured the second position in the “research quality” category. This demonstrates the institution’s aspirations to become a leading research university. They plan to intensively prepare for this transition in the coming months.
