On Friday morning, the Military Police entered the apartment of Ewa Stankiewicz-Jorgensen and later searched the journalist’s basement. The authorities are currently conducting operations there. The journalist, known for her investigations into the Smolensk catastrophe, stated that the officers were searching her home and basement for parts of the Tupolev aircraft.
Searching for Tupolev Parts
Speaking to reporters, including those from Telewizja Republika, Ewa Stankiewicz-Jorgensen stated that “a total of nine gendarmes raided me and my husband.” She emphasized that the officers did not find anything in any of the locations they searched. The journalist has been summoned to the prosecutor’s office on March 11 of this year.
Earlier, Ewa Stankiewicz had called Telewizja Republika to report that after 6 a.m., two men and a woman from the Military Police entered her apartment and informed her that they had a search warrant and would be looking for parts of the Tupolev aircraft.
They searched all the rooms, including the storage unit. The warrant was issued by Colonel Tomasz Mackiewicz, a prosecutor from the District Prosecutor’s Office, delegated to the National Prosecutor’s Office.
“The Military Police found nothing,” Ewa Stankiewicz-Jorgensen emphasized.
“In my opinion, these are staged and disciplinary actions aimed at intimidating individuals who are trying to uncover the truth—those who possess evidence of an explosion and the crime that was committed,” the journalist stated.
She also pointed out that “it is outrageous that in a democratic country, one cannot bring justice for the crime committed against the President of Poland and 95 key individuals essential to the country’s sovereignty.”
She further informed that her materials related to the Smolensk catastrophe are well secured.
Ewa Stankiewicz-Jorgensen is a journalist and director who has been investigating the Smolensk disaster for years. She is the author of films such as “Solidarni 2010,” “Lista pasażerów,” and “Stan zagrożenia.”
