Warsaw to block Ukrainian grain imports regardless of EU decision

The Polish government asked the European Commission to expand the EU embargo on Ukrainian grain imports after September 15, 2023. They seek to safeguard the welfare of Polish farmers. The PM’s Office affirmed that if the ban is not extended, Poland will enforce it on a national level. This announcement followed a government assembly on Tuesday.
