“Sharing the Light of Peace is a beautiful symbol. Thank you for bringing this light, lit in Bethlehem, to me, my Wife and our colleagues. We are renewing this tradition – with the new Presidential Couple,” President Karol Nawrocki said today at the Presidential Palace.
On Monday at noon, at the Presidential Palace, the President of the Republic of Poland Karol Nawrocki and his Wife Marta Nawrocka received the Bethlehem Light of Peace from the scouts of the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHP).
“Sharing the Light of Peace is a beautiful symbol. Thank you for bringing this light, lit in Bethlehem, to me, my Wife and our colleagues. We are renewing this tradition – with the new Presidential Couple,” President Nawrocki told those gathered.
As he said, “behind this light stand values that are important for our Homeland – love, mercy and the search for peace”.
And further: “I think to myself that Jesus Christ, in his Sermon on the Mount recorded in the Gospel according to Saint Matthew, said ‘you are the light of the world’. He addressed these words to his closest apostles, but this light of the world, through the Christian teaching and the life and death of Jesus Christ, has been burning for over 2000 years”.
“By finding goodness within ourselves we can share it with others outside. Dear scouts, you are proof that we can build a better world based on Christian values,” the President emphasized.
