Plan of bloody revenge against a journalist
On Tuesday evening, TV Republika revealed a recording in which State Protection Service (SOP) officer Wojciech B. openly talks about kidnapping, torturing, and then killing and cremating the body of investigative journalist Piotr Nisztor.
This was allegedly revenge against the journalist, who in 2014 described his cooperation with an arms dealer sought by French police.
Today, the station released further recordings – this time “Biszkopt” talks about running over two of Nisztor’s dogs and about a flight with the arms dealer.
TV Republika contacted Wojciech B. When he heard the journalist’s request for comment on the recordings revealed by the station, he hung up.
Piotr Nisztor placed under protection
TV Republika President Tomasz Sakiewicz announced on air that Piotr Nisztor has been placed under protection.
“We have decided to place Piotr under personal protection. This means that we are activating additional special measures in this case. I cannot speak about the details because the heads of security asked me not to. The point is to ensure Piotr a minimum level of safety. All the more so because in these recordings it was clearly said that this man, upon leaving the service, would carry out a sentence on Piotr. Many indications suggest that this person is at large. We are dealing with a man who was involved in arms trafficking. There is no problem for him to possess other service weapons. We have no information about what actions the authorities have taken against him. We do not know what his plans are,” he announced.
He also emphasized that the man is “dangerous, armed, determined – capable of operating covertly, using technical means to mislead pursuers, and he announced a murder.” He also pointed out that the station has evidence “that he is at large and apparently outside the control of the services.”
Piotr Nisztor, in turn, stated that he is in постоян contact with the police.
“I do not yet have information about the investigation itself and how everything will proceed. After speaking with representatives of the police, I see determination to act in this matter. As an investigative journalist, I cannot agree to be placed under 24-hour protection. Arrangements have been made in this regard. What has been decided today will, in my assessment, be effective in securing the health and lives of myself and my loved ones,” he said.
Referring to the content of the revealed recordings, he pointed out that “the level of discussion is more like something taken straight from gangster, criminal conversations, rather than talks involving a high-ranking SOP officer. This is a person who protects the highest officials in the state.”
“When I first heard this recording, I was shocked. All the more so because I know the course of Wojciech B.’s career in the Government Protection Bureau (BOR), and later in SOP. This person is today practically a legend of this institution. SOP already in 2024 knew that this man was behaving in a manner unbecoming of a service officer. Apart from me, another person is also at risk. That person has also given testimony,” he emphasized.
