“We’re Coming for You, Frauds!” Solidarity Leader Issues a Blunt Message to Tusk’s Government

“You have wasted two years of our lives. We’re coming for you, frauds!” (orig. Idziemy PO was, oszuści! – ed.) — wrote Solidarity (NSZZ “Solidarność”) leader Piotr Duda on the platform X on the eve of the second anniversary of the appointment of Donald Tusk’s government. He also posted a highly evocative animation.

“You deceived workers. You deceived voters. You deceived the heroes of the struggle against communism. You deceived farmers. You deceived patients. You deceived women. You deceived men. You deceived parents. You deceived children. You deceived Poles,” the narrator says in the video.

It then concludes: “You have wasted two years of our lives. We’re coming for you, frauds!”

The message is reinforced by imagery of marching people, among whom one can recognize a miner carrying a large Solidarity flag, industrial workers, a nurse, civil servants, and a representative of the armed forces. “We were patient, but enough is enough!” wrote Solidarity leader Piotr Duda.

A few days earlier, the National Commission of NSZZ Solidarność began preparations for a nationwide protest action. The reason cited is the “dramatically deteriorating socio-economic situation in Poland.” The union has prepared a detailed list of demands addressed to the government of the December 13 coalition.
