Wysocka-Schnepf Surprised with a Question After the National Security Council Meeting: “But Without Any Meal at All?!”

“Did the president keep them all there without a meal, without any break at all?” – this was the question preoccupying a TVP Info (in liquidation) journalist, Dorota Wysocka-Schnepf. She found it pressing enough to ask it to the Left party’s spokesperson, Łukasz Michnik, following a meeting of the National Security Council.

Yesterday, a session of the National Security Council was convened by the president at the Presidential Palace. It lasted several hours – from 2:00 p.m. until around 8:00 p.m.

At the opening of the meeting, President Karol Nawrocki stated that he had called the Council together because, in matters crucial to the security of the Republic of Poland, too many questions have recently been arising, while too few reliable and comprehensive answers have been provided. He emphasized that the session was devoted to three issues: the purchase of armaments under the SAFE Program, Poland’s invitation to the Peace Council, and the activities of state services regarding the “eastern social and business contacts” of the Speaker of the Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty.

In addition to President Nawrocki, who chaired the meeting, participants included Prime Minister Donald Tusk (who left before the session concluded), the Speakers of the Sejm and Senate – Włodzimierz Czarzasty and Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska – as well as members of the government: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski; Minister of the Interior and Administration Marcin Kierwiński; Minister-Coordinator of Special Services Tomasz Siemoniak; and Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domański.

Also present were representatives of the Presidential Chancellery, including its head Zbigniew Bogucki, as well as officials from the National Security Bureau, including its chief Sławomir Cenckiewicz. Leaders of parliamentary caucuses and circles, along with representatives of the armed forces, also attended.

Wysocka-Schnepf: “Did Something Happen There?!”

After the National Security Council session, Left party spokesperson Łukasz Michnik appeared on TVP Info (in liquidation).

At one point, host Dorota Wysocka-Schnepf asked whether a meal had been provided for the president’s guests.

“Did the president keep them all there without a meal, without any break at all? Have you received any signals that something happened there so they could at least grab a bite? This is the entire leadership of Poland!” the journalist exclaimed.
