Żurek Quoted a Statement from the Secret Part of the Sejm Session? “I Can Repeat It…” [VIDEO]

“Mr Bosak said this clearly during the closed session and I can repeat it,” declared Prosecutor General and Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek from the Sejm rostrum, revealing the content of the chamber’s secret sitting. The Deputy Marshal from Confederation denied it and added that the words spoken by the head of the ministry had not come from him during the classified part.

The morning part of the Sejm session was classified at the request of Prime Minister Donald Tusk. After a break, MPs returned to the plenary hall and partially commented on and referred to the topics discussed.

However, Waldemar Żurek went a step further and stated that he was quoting Krzysztof Bosak’s remarks from the non-public part of the session. “Mr Bosak said this clearly during the closed session and I can repeat it,” the Minister of Justice began from the rostrum. Then, allegedly repeating the Deputy Marshal’s words, he added that the matter concerned the risks of investing in bitcoin. There was a stir in the chamber. However, Deputy Marshal of the Sejm Monika Wielichowska, who was presiding over the session, did not react. The Prosecutor General repeated his words several times, adding that this was common knowledge.

“This is a crime”

Politicians immediately reacted to his words, reminding that disclosing statements made during a secret sitting constitutes a crime.

Krzysztof Bosak commented on the matter himself, first writing that the head of the ministry should be “a model of restraint, not a blabbermouth,” and then adding in a subsequent post that he “did not say such words.”
