    Zyla and Kubacki on the podium during the first competition of the Four Hills Tournament

    Piotr Zyla finished second and Dawid Kubacki third in the competition of the Four Hills Tournament in Oberstdorf. Kamil Stoch also finished in the top ten with ninth place. 

    After the first round of the competition, the classification for the Poles looked very good. The second place belonged to Piotr Zyla and the third place to Dawid Kubacki. However, Halvor Egner Granerud was in the lead.

    The Norwegian jumped 142.5 m and was 4.6 points ahead of Zyla, who reached 132.5 m. Kubacki’s loss (140.5m) to the leader was 5.6 points. Sixth-placed Stoch had 133 m and was 11.8 points behind Granerud.

    Finally, Norway’s Halvor Egner Granerud left no doubt that it was his day today. In his final jump, he reached 139 metres. In the end, he scored 312.4 points and was 13.4 points ahead of Piotr Zyla and 17.5 points ahead of Dawid Kubacki.
