Military pilots paid tribute to the Battle of Warsaw heroes. Over the capital city, Polish and American F-16 fighter jets appeared about midday. There were also Iskra aircraft which made the Polish flag in the air. The flights took place in over a dozen of Polish cities.
In the capital, where there are celebrations on the occasion of Polish Army Day and the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw, over the Pilsudski Square Polish and American F-16 fighter jets appeared about the midday.
In the sky, the formation of 6 F-16 fighter jets appeared. Two of them were from the 2nd Flank of Tactical Air Force from the formation “GROT” and the formation of 4 F-16 fighter jets from 480th Fighter Squadron of U.S. Air Force. The subunit is stationed in 32nd Tactical Air Base under the international agreement as Aviation Detachment. The subunit realizes cooperative pilot training with Polish crews of F-16 fighter jets.
Ministry of Defense announced that the military F-16 fighter jets will appear in Białystok, Szczecin, Poznań, Kraków, Lublin, Kielce, Rzeszów, Olsztyn, Wrocław, Łódź and above Westerplatte about midday. In Katowice the Hercules’ flights will take place few minutes after 2 pm.
