Dworczyk: Polish-American relations will be as good as ever

I am convinced that following Joe Biden’s victory in the US presidential election, Polish-American relations will develop as well as ever, the head of the Chancellery of the Polish Prime Minister, Michał Dworczyk said.

“World leaders, including President Andrzej Duda, congratulated the new president of the United States on the election. Contrary to the opinions or emotions that have arisen among some politicians and commentators, I am convinced that Polish-American relations will develop as well as before and Polish-American alliance will grow stronger.” Dworczyk said on Polish Radio 1.

President Andrzej Duda congratulated Biden on Saturday on “a successful presidential campaign” and added that “in anticipation of the nomination of the Electoral College, Poland is determined to maintain the high level and quality of strategic partnership with the US.”

Dworczyk added that President Andrzej Duda is to ratify the agreement on enhanced defense cooperation with the USA on Monday.

“This is a strengthening of Poland’s security and good news for the entire region. I am convinced that the change in the US president office will not affect the alliance and the possibilities of military cooperation. We are a proven partner for the Americans.” he assessed.
