What is the rule of law in the EU? The Deputy Minister cracked down on the opposition in half a minute

Germans are blackmailing us, they are blackmailing Poland, they are changing the rules of the game, they are changing the rules of the July agreement – said today the Deputy Minister of State Assets Janusz Kowalski. The politician also turned to the members of the opposition: Are you so cynical, or you just don’t understand it?

Poland and Hungary announce a veto on the draft long-term EU budget for 2021-2027. The idea is to combine the wider unspecified “rule of law” with the European Union budget. Prime Ministers Mateusz Morawiecki and Viktor Orban said that they would certainly derive profit from a veto if there is no satisfactory agreement.

Deputy Minister Kowalski on TVP Info strongly addressed the opposition MPs, who are trying to convince the Poles that the veto of the so formulated budget by the German presidency will lead to polexit.

‘If from the first of January we do not have “homosexuals’, if we do not have children adopted by homosexual couples if we do not accept thousands of Muslim immigrants, if we do not teach our children gender, then the money we have negotiated, as far as we adopt the way of thinking of the Civic Platform (PO), post-communists and Polish People’s Party (PSL) today, it means that we will adopt a budget with an execution title’ – said Kowalski

‘Are you so cynical, or you just do not understand it?’ – he turned to the opposition.

‘Germans are blackmailing us, they are blackmailing Poland, they are changing the rules of the game, they are changing the rules of the July agreement. We are being blackmailed as a Republic. They want to take billions of euros away from us, they want to take money away from us ideologically, and you take the side of Berlin, Brussels, you attack the Polish government, which defends Polish sovereignty’- he stressed.
