    Fire trucks went to winning communes

    Volunteer Fire Services from the communes that won both rounds of the “Battle for Fire Trucks” received rescue and firefighting vehicles, said the deputy head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Paweł Szefernaker. It is 65 trucks with a total value of PLN 52 million.

     

    The “Battle of the Fire Trucks” was a campaign encouraging voters from communes up to 20,000 inhabitants to participate in the presidential elections in 2020. It was organized by the Ministry of Interior and Administration. As a reward for the highest election turnout, the communes could get a fire engine.

    “The current situation of the pandemic shows how important it is to support the emergency services. We kept the promise made in the summer and the effect is real, these are new vehicles for the Volunteer Fire Services, which will be used to help the inhabitants of these specific communes,” emphasized Maciej Wąsik, deputy Minister of Interior and Administration supervising the Fire Service.

    The deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Paweł Szefernaker, said that 65 rescue and firefighting vehicles with a total value of PLN 52 million went to volunteer firefighters from the communes that won both rounds of the “Battle for Fire Trucks”.
