    PZU for children

The Sports Center in Raszyn near Warsaw hosted the inauguration of the Good Team PZU program which promotes sports activities among children and youth. Iga Świątek, our excellent tennis player, who recently participated in the doubles final at Roland Garros in Paris, took part in the event as its ambassador.

Under the three-year program, PZU will provide financial support to the school and other amateur sports clubs and teams, particularly in smaller centres, as part of equalizing opportunities. Today, the first to be called up to the PZU Good Team were representatives and players of Amp Football, the Polish Wrestling Association, the Mundial Hope Association, and children from the Raszyn Sports Center.

“This is a unique, three-year program that targets all children and youth who want to play their favourite sport. It provides financial assistance to clubs and teams that can facilitate this. Already this year, we have supported, among others, the Amp Football Association and Football Band, the action of the Polish Wrestling Federation or the Hope for the World Cup Association. Apart from continuing the commenced projects, we will soon engage even more funds and launch an open call for new projects matching our ideas and goals. The Good Team will combine the energy, commitment and knowledge of our sports partners with the organizational experience and financial strength of PZU,” said Professor Beata Kozłowska-Chyła, President of PZU.

“I share similar values with PZU. I often stress that in the future I would like to support the development of children and young people. I know how hard it is in the beginning, and I know that this help is needed. That is why I am glad that such an opportunity has arisen and I can take part in the Good Team project,” said Iga Świątek.
