On June 21, the 50th edition of the legendary program of Polish Radio 1 “Lato z radiem” or Summer with Radio will start. Every day from Monday to Saturday from 9.00 to12.00 on the air of “Jedynka” new unusual places on the map of Poland, and on Fridays at 8 pm concerts of the greatest Polish stars, informed Anna Górka from PR.
Also there were announced “competitions for faithful listeners and a lot of surprises on the occasion of the great jubilee”.
Anna Górka, a specialist from the Polish Radio Promotion Agency, recalled that “the first “Lato z radiem” (Summer with the radio) started on July 1, 1971 and it did not resemble the later editions of the program in any way.”
“Originally it was a short news magazine, and the broadcasting of the program live was started in 1973. Each following year, “Lato z radiem” became a more and more unique program that connected generations and allowed to create an extraordinary atmosphere with the audience,” we read in the statement.
It was announced that on the occasion of the 50th birthday, “Program 1 of Polish Radio has prepared a number of attractions that will allow us to celebrate such a special jubilee together with the audience.”
“On Monday, June 21 at 9 am, the first sounds of the program will be heard on the air. Reporters will visit the most beautiful places on the map of Poland – from the sea to the Tatra Mountains. Every day, from Monday to Saturday, they will appear in a different, unusual place,” it was announced about the program.
