Road killers will pay pensions to victims' families. Change in law later this year

    – We have introduced rules on raising fines, but also the need to pay an annuity for the children or family of a person who was killed by a traffic pirate with his irresponsible behaviour on the road, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced during a press briefing dedicated to increasing safety on Polish roads.

“Every day, we hear about dramatic accidents that are caused by roadhogs.  That’s why the government passed an amendment to the traffic law a few days ago, and the behaviour of thugs behind the wheel will be punished more severely,” – Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said.
