Krystsina Tsimanouskaya, an athlete specializing in sprint running, has joined the ORLEN Sports Group bringing together the best athletes, including Olympic medalists from Tokyo. It includes, among others: Anita Włodarczyk, Justyna Święty-Ersetic, Anna Kiełbasińska or Paweł Fajdek. Cooperation with PKN ORLEN will enable the Belarusian athlete to continue her training and sporting career.
“Krystsina Tsimanouskaya joins the ORLEN team. I am glad that by supporting her we will enable her further sporting development. I hope that in a while Krystsina will be back to training and sporting competition. Sports sponsorship allows us to build global recognition of the ORLEN brand and supports our business activities, but it also fulfills important social functions,” says Daniel Obajtek, President of the PKN ORLEN Management Board.
Krystsina Tsimanouskaya is a Belarusian athlete specializing in sprint running. In 2015, she placed 6th in the 100m run at the European Junior Championships in Eskilstuna. Two years later she won a silver medal at the European Youth Championships. In 2019, she won the 200m run at the Universiade held in Naples. She is also a participant of the European and World Championships and the Indoor European and World Championships.
“I am grateful for the support I have received, which will enable me to continue my career here in Poland. From today I start a new life and a new sporting stage together with PKN ORLEN and ORLEN Sports Group,” says Krystsina Tsimanouskaya.
On August 1, Krystsina Tsimanouskaya was barred from competing at the Tokyo Olympics due to criticism from her country’s sports authorities. Thanks to the quick intervention of the Polish embassy in Tokyo, she obtained a humanitarian visa and avoided returning to Belarus. On August 5 she landed safely in Warsaw.
