    Act on the reconstruction of the Saxon Palace in Warsaw

    On Sunday, during the ceremony at the Presidential Palace, President Andrzej Duda signed the act on the reconstruction of the Saxon Palace, Brühl Palace, and tenement houses at Królewska street in Warsaw.

    The ceremony with the participation of representatives of the highest state authorities, incl. of the government, the Sejm, and the Senate, as well as representatives of organizations that have been involved in promoting the idea of ​​rebuilding the Saxon Palace for many years, was held in the Hall of the Order of the White Eagle in the Presidential Palace.

    “This reconstruction should have happened a long time ago, but Poland was still rising from its ruins. Now, these wonderful buildings will be restored to the inhabitants of Warsaw, Poland, all of us. We are rebuilding these buildings from budget funds, thus rebuilding Warsaw and symbolically completing its reconstruction,” said the President in a commemorative speech.

    Act on the preparation and implementation of investments in the reconstruction of the Saxon Palace, Brühl Palace, and tenement houses at Królewska street in Warsaw is an initiative of the President. Andrzej Duda announced it on November 11, 2018 – on the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence.
