The Bieszczady National Park is located in Subcarpathian Voivodeship. It is the third-largest National Park in Poland and covers an area of 292.2 square km. It was created in 1973 and forests cover about 80% of the Park.
The fauna of Bieszczady National Park includes about 200 rare species, like the European bison, brown bear, lynx, wildcat, wild boar, deer, or wolf. What is more, there are also approx. 900 different species of vascular plants.
