Marcin Polak and pilot Michał Ładosz won bronze at the 4000 m distance in the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. This is the first medal for Poland in this event.
After finishing third in qualifying, the red and white competed against Frenchmen Alexandre Lloveras and his pilot Corentin Ermenault in the race for the bronze medal. The Poles clocked a time of 4.07.850, while the tandem of rivals clocked 4.08.126.
On the first day of the Paralympic, Dutchmen Tristan Bangma and Patrick Bos (pilot) won, while Britain’s Stephen Bate and Adam Duggleby took silver.

There is another medal won by Poles during the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. Adrian Castro won the silver medal in the Group B individual sabre tournament.
