On October 10th, we celebrate Board Games Day – a nationwide holiday for board game enthusiasts. There are competitions, promotions, tournaments, meetings, and charity events waiting for fans of so-called table games.
Major board game publishers, as well as shops, pubs, and bloggers, and influencers, participate in Board Game Day. Their joint effort produces a six-hour program on Amber EXPO’s web TV, airing on Sunday afternoon.
This year’s edition is also an opportunity to support local schools. Thanks to the patronage of Allegro Locally (online shop website -editor’ note), game enthusiasts can sell board games they do not play and donate part or all of the money to charity. Proceeds from the auction will help the school equip its daycare centre or library with state-of-the-art games.
